EPISTEMOLOGÍA DE LAS CIENCIAS HUMANAS EN EL CONTEXTO IBEROAMERICANO

Resumen

Debido a la desorientación epistemológica de la primera parte del siglo XX, se han replanteado, en su segunda parte, y en forma crítica, todas las bases epistemológicas del conocimiento y de la ciencia. En este artículo, se argumenta que el pensamiento responde siempre al modo de vida del grupo humano en cuyo seno se piensa; es decir, a la praxis total, integral, de una comunidad determinada en su momento y tiempo históricos: praxis técnica, simbólica, estética y ética. De esta manera, todo “pensar” está inserto en un paradigma, el cual, a su vez, sólo tiene significado o sentido a la luz de una matriz epistémica o modo propio y peculiar, que tiene un grupo humano, de asignar significados a las cosas y a los eventos. En esta línea de argumentación, se ilustran, en secuencia, las ideas matrices y sus principales representantes, de la razón ilustrada de la modernidad y su cuestionamiento desde el punto de vista social, psicológico y epistémico; igualmente, y desde la óptica de una epistemología actualizada, se ponen de relieve los procesos mentales que sigue la episteme hermenéutica, la fenomenológica, la etnográfica y la de la razón crítica. El artículo concluye ilustrando que, a lo largo del siglo XX, se han dado dos formas de pensar y conocer: la primera centrada en una orientación atomista, elementalista e individualista, prevaleciente en la primera mitad del siglo, y, la segunda, de naturaleza relacional, sistémica, estructural, gestáltica, estereognósica y transdisciplinaria, que se ha ido imponiendo, epistemológicamente, en su segunda mitad.Palabras Clave: Epistemología, Ciencias Humanas, Contexto IberoamericanoEPISTEMOLOGY OF THE HUMAN SCIENCESIN THE LATIN AMERICAN CONTEXTABSTRACTDue to the epistemological lack of orientation in the first part of the twentieth century, all the epistemological foundations of knowledge and science have been restated critically, in itssecond part. In this article, we argue that thinking always responds to way of life of the human group within which it is thought, i.e., the total and integral praxis of a community in its local and historical time: in its technical, symbolic, aesthetic and ethical praxis. Thus, all "thinking" is embedded in a paradigm, which, in turn, only has meaning or sense in light of a matrix orepistemic own peculiar way, which has a human group, to assign  meanings to things andevents. In this line of argument, matrices ideas and their leading representatives views of enlightened reason of modernity and their questioning from the standpoint of social, psychological and epistemic perspective, are shown, in sequence; and, equally is done, from the perspective of an epistemology up-to-date, highlighting the mental processes that follow the hermeneutical, phenomenological, ethnographic and the “critical reason” episteme. Thepaper concludes by illustrating that, throughout the twentieth century, there have been two ways of thinking and knowing: the first one focused on an atomistic, individualistic andelementalistic orientation, that prevailed in the first half of the century and, the second one, relational in nature, systemic, structural, Gestaltic, stereognosical and transdisciplinary,which has been prevailing, epistemologically, in the second half.Keywords: Epistemology, Human Sciences, Latin American Context
