AbstractThis research aims to follow the development of a conceptual diagram for learning and teaching of mathematics in the elementary and secundary school. For that, it is reflected on two big learning fields, the motor-cognitive and the psycho-social. At the same time they are constituted, in a second level by the learning of special contents, the methodical and operational learning, and emotional and ethical learning. These three objectives chained to each other will be achieved, in one way, by means of practical carrying out of learning in the development of methods and in solution of problems inside and out of mathematics; and in another by using a learning based on social and comunicative relationship among participants, in the process of mathematic education. This understanding of the process in learning and teaching mathematics entails in making a second practical diagram, which it helps to materialize the process inside a specific social context, with participation of a certain group people and in confrontation with the object and subjet of learning. This second diagram, cyclical, gives details of six stations, no uniques and permanents necessarily that probably allows a right treatment of school mathematics in our educative institutions.Key Words: Learning and Teaching of Mathematics, Conceptual Diagram, Cyclical Diagram.
