Se analizan las características de 26 estudiantes inscritos en una universidad pública mexicana. El estudio pone especial énfasis en sus competencias de literacidad académica y disciplinar, en virtud de su baja competencia en español y poco conocimiento de la realidad sociocultural de nuestro país. La investigación, de carácter exploratorio, cualitativo-cuantitativo e interpretativo, se llevó a cabo mediante la aplicación de cuestionarios, entrevistas semi-estructuradas a profundidad y observaciones de clases. Los resultados muestran la necesidad de que las universidades receptoras de estudiantes repatriados realicen un análisis sobre las necesidades que estos estudiantes tienen y que no sólo se trabaje para ofrecerles un lugar en la educación superior. La inclusión de estos jóvenes en la universidad implica un trabajo integral en áreas como la enseñanza del español, la alfabetización académica y disciplinar, la contextualización de la agenda mexicana en el desarrollo científico y cultural del país, así como apoyo emocional para ayudarle al estudiante a replantear sus objetivos de vida, mismos que tienen un impacto inmediato en su desempeño escolar. Palabras clave: DACA, literacidad, repatriados, identidad, español como segunda lengua.</p><p><br />Abstract</p><p><br />The objective of this article is to describe the profile of the repatriated university student who did not take part in the DACA program in the United States and who returned to Mexico to undertake university studies. The characteristics of 26 students enrolled in a Mexican public university are analyzed. The study pays special attention to their academic literacy and disciplinary skills, due to their low competence in Spanish and little knowledge of the socio-cultural reality of our country. The exploratory, qualitative-quantitative and interpretative research was carried out through the application of questionnaires, semi-structured interviews in-depth and class observations. The results show that universities that host students who are returnees have to analyze the needs of these students and not only work to offer them a place in higher education. The inclusion of these young people in the university implies a comprehensive work in areas such as the teaching of Spanish, academic and disciplinary literacy, the contextualization of the Mexican agenda in the scientific and cultural development of the country, as well as emotional support to help the student to rethink their life goals, which have an immediate impact on their school performance.</p><p>Key words: DACA, literacy, repatriates students, identity, Spanish as a second language.</p&gt;}, number={2}, journal={PARADIGMA}, author={Nava Nava (UATX-México), Refugio and Domínguez Angel (UATX-México), Rosalina and Castro Azuara (UATX-México), María Cristina}, year={2017}, month={dic.}, pages={121 -} }
