APLICACIÓN DE UNA GUIA DIDÁCTICA DE PATOLOGÍA VEGETAL, EN LA ESPECIALIDAD DE EDUCACIÓN AGROPECUARIA DE LA UPEL – IPB

Resumen

La enseñanza de las ciencias experimentales debe promover el espíritu científico para optimizar el proceso de aprendizaje. En este sentido, se desarrolló el presente trabajo considerado del tipo investigación-acción. El objetivo fue la aplicación de una guía práctica en una sección de 35 alumnos de la Asignatura Patología Vegetal del III semestre de Educación Agropecuaria de la UPEL-IPB. Para ello, se diseñó la guía correspondiente a la Unidad 2 de dicho Programa, con el fin de estudiar la microflora asociada a cultivos hortícolas, el recurso fue validado mediante juicio de expertos. En cuanto al aspecto didáctico-pedagógico, la aplicación de la guía permitió a los alumnos lograr mayor conocimiento, manejar instrumentos y equipos, y adquirir habilidades y destrezas en las técnicas de la fitopatología moderna, lo cual se comprobó durante la evaluación cualitativa de la actividad. En relación al contenido científico, los resultados demostraron que las técnicas incluidas en la guía para la fase experimental, fueron efectivas para el estudio de las poblaciones de hongos asociados a la guanábana, destacándose aquellas que implicaron el uso de medios de cultivo, ya que permitieron un mayor crecimiento de las colonias con respecto a otra técnica aplicada como la cámara húmeda. Además, el recurso facilitó la identificación de los géneros de hongos encontrados, entre ellos: Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Gliocladium, Mucor, Trichoderma, Botryodiplodia, Colletotrichum, Cercóspora, Cladosporium y Rhizopus.Palabras Clave: Guía didáctica, agropecuaria, enseñanza, ciencia.AbstractThe education of experimental sciences must promote the scientific spirit to optimize the learning process. In this sense, the present work was developed considering the of type investigation-action. The objective at this research was the application of a practical guide in a section of 35 students from the subject plant pathology of the III semester of Farming Education of the UPEL-IPB. To get this goal, the corresponding guide to the Unit 2 of this Program was designed with the purpose of studying the associated microorganisms to horticultural crops, the resource was validated by expert judgment. In relation to the didactic-pedagogical aspect, the application of the guide allowed students to obtain greater knowledge, to handle instruments and equipment, and to acquire abilities and skills in the techniques of the modern plant pathology, which was verified during the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the activity. In relation to the scientific content, the results demonstrated that the techniques included in the guide for the experimental phase, were effective for the study of the populations of fungi associated to the soursop, standing out those that implied the culture media use, since they allowed a greater growth of the colonies with respect to another technique applied like the humid camera. In addition, the resource facilitated the identification of the sorts of found fungi, among them: Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Gliocladium, Mucor, Trichoderma, Botryodiplodia, Colletotrichum, Cercóspora, Cladosporium and Rhizopus.Key Words: didactic, farming, education, science.
